How to order

We will discuss the design by email. If requested, we can also ship a rough sample dress (also known as a toile) for you to try on. This way you can confirm the fit and design at home. Then we will make the dress in final materials with the necessary adjustments. We will give you detailed instructions on how to check for the perfect fit.

Please measure correctly by referring to the “how to measure” page.

How to measure

Necessary measurements are bust, waist, middle hip, hip, height, hollow-to-bust, hollow-to-hem/floor (front and back). Please let us know any measurements that need extra attention and we will take them into consideration. For example: narrow shoulders, large bust, needing extra room in the waist etc. Please refer to the details below. All measurement should be with a soft measuring tape.

1.Bust

Measure across the fullest part of the bust and continue horizontally across the back. Taking care around the shoulder blade keeping the tape level.

2.Waist

Measure around the smallest part of your natural waist. (This is usually where the line of your elbow crease meets the body.) Don’t measure too tight or suck in your stomach when measuring. A dress measurement is different from skirt measurement, if the measurement is too tight it won’t fit. Please relax and measure.

3.Middle Hip

Measurement is between the waist and hip measurement. This is generally 3.5” below the waist measurement and near the top of your hip bone. Every body is different so it’s important to also include this measurement.

4.Hip

Measure the fullest part horizontally (see picture). If you have extra curves around your stomach or thighs, please put a few fingers under the tape to allow for extra room.

5.Hollow-to-bust

Please measure from shoulder to fullest part of your bust, as illustrated in picture five.

6.Neck-to-waist (back)

Standing up straight, looking from behind (back) have someone measure from where your neck meets your back (base of the neck) to your waist.

7.Neck-to-floor (front and back)

Using the same soft measuring tape that you’ve used for neck-to-waist, pressing the tape lightly to your body to include the natural curve of your body measure downwards to the floor as illustrated. Wear the shoes you will wear with the dress for this measurement. Then continue and measure the front. If you would like your dress to be asymmetrical (higher in the front) please indicate this.
